Created in the heart of Sligo Town using a combination of locally sourced ingredients and authentic Italian recipes.

What We Do

Using a combination of natural Irish produce and authentic Italian pasta-making techniques, we transform our locally sourced ingredients into delicious pasta shapes for you to cook and enjoy at home.

We create a variety of different pasta sauces to perfectly complement your choice of pasta, including both meat and vegan options.

Our pasta is fresh and handmade each day. And as it’s fresh, it takes only 3 minutes to cook – meaning your meal is ready for the dinner table in no time.

Our Pasta Shop

After two years spent making and selling our fresh pasta and sauces at markets around the county, we opened the yellow door of our new fresh pasta shop at 23 Grattan Street, Sligo on 8th September, 2022!

In our pasta shop, or “pastificio” as they’re known in Italy, we hand-make all of the authentic Italian food in our fridges on-site using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Step inside and you’ll find our award-winning fresh pasta, lasagnes, pasta sauces, Italian specialties and desserts with regularly changing specials.

On our shelves you’ll also find a variety of artisanal food products to buy from all over Italy – such as wild fennel pesto, organic cherry tomato sauce, and gluten-free dried pasta – many of which are sourced directly from the producers themselves.

Irish Food Awards Winners 2022

We’re delighted to say that our handmade Fresh Egg Tagliatelle was awarded the Chef’s Larder selection at the 2022 Blas na hEireann Irish Food Awards!

Tagliatelle has a special place in our hearts as it was the very first variety of pasta that we created. Every nest of Pasta Fresca! tagliatelle is freshly made in our shop each day using a combination of local Ballysadare Free Range Eggs and Italian flour.

As all of our pasta/sauce/lasagne is freshly handmade, please note that orders must be placed at least 48 hours prior to collection.

A Bit About Us…

Pasta Fresca! was cooked up by Stella, who was imported thirteen years ago from the beautiful city of Florence in Tuscany, and David, a Sligo native from the foot of Queen Maeve’s Knocknarea. We are thrilled to share our take on the old, traditional ways of the Italian kitchen with the thriving new food movement taking place in Sligo.
